Becky Ferreira is a Canadian writer, comedian and raptor based in New York. She has been published in Popular Science, Bust magazine, Glamour, TheAwl.com and The L Magazine amongst others. Her fiction has been published in One Cool Word and flashquake.

Becky doesn't just seek out more attention than she deserves in writing - she also craves it on the stage. She is an Upright Citizen Brigade-trained improviser who has performed short and long-form improv internationally for over a decade. She is a member of the New York stand-up and storytelling scene, has performed at Comix Comedy Club, and hosts a science-themed comedy show called Rocket Talk. She was eaten by a shark in Midnight Buffet's production of Jaws: The Musical (and is a proud member of the Midnight Buffet team).

She founded and mastered the scientific discipline of "paleocosmology," which is the study of dinosaurs in space and was featured on Dru Johnston's popular "Year of the Blog" project.
